Helen Tamblyn-Saville stands in East Retford West By-Election

Helen Tamblyn-Saville to represent Lib Dems in East Retford West By-Election

Helen Tamblyn-Saville is delighted to have been chosen to stand for the Liberal Democrats in the East Retford West by-election.

It follows the resignation of former Labour turned independent Councillor Alan Chambers.

A Retford resident, along with her husband and daughter, Helen is Head of Communications & PR for the British Tenpin Bowling Association and is, herself, a former international tenpin bowler. Her main priorities are to make our area safer and a more productive place to live and work.

“I want to make sure that people are put first, ahead of politics, and will fight against any negative decisions that will affect the people of Retford;” Helen said. “The cuts have gone too far and are threatening the safety and cohesion of our community. For example, even after consultation, cuts to the fire service still went ahead.”

Retford resident, Dave Costello agreed. “Helen will be a strong voice for our community. I have known Helen for several years and have been impressed by her energy, commitment and dedication. She will make a fantastic councillor for the people of East Retford West.”

The by-election will be held on 15th November.
